Here my Stamps and Bricks quilt hangs on my tiled garden terrace wall. A mosaic pot before it reflects the stamp section of the quilt.

STAMPS AND BRICKS TABLECLOTH

On my annual visit to the Houston Quilt Market in 2018, I spotted a gorgeous vintage quilt top—the black-and-cream border told me I had to have it! It’s always irresistible to find a simple, doable layout that can be a good vehicle for my own prints. I had fun designing this tablecloth, as it is different from most of my quilt designs. It taps into the fascination I have with contrasting dark and light combined with color. Of course, as with many patchwork items I construct, this layout could be done in various moods: all shades of red and pinks with kick tones of emerald and turquoise would transform it; or mostly deep grays with silver and pastel lights, for instance.
